One of the goals of the merger of four Colorado AIDS Project organizations into a single legal entity was to present a polished new face for future new funders while keeping the identities of each of the regional organizations intact. Those identities certainly are not broken, so why fix them?
The board of the new statewide organization recently adopted the name “Colorado AIDS Project” as the statewide name. The names of WestCAP, S-CAP, and NCAP all are staying the same.
But CAP, the Denver organization, is changing it name to get out of the way of the new statewide name. That new Denver-area name, as just approved by the long-time CAP board, will be “Denver Colorado AIDS Project.” Sounds a lot like “Colorado AIDS Project,” doesn’t it? We like it. And it has a new logo, which you can see here.
And all four regional CAPs will be getting a fantastic new tagline: “part of the new, statewide Colorado AIDS Project.” We think it really says to the world, “We’re presenting an all-new united front in the fight against HIV and AIDS in our state.”
